It has massive replay-ability, with the various dark side/light side and male/female narrative permutations. It’s a shame it’s taken 7 years for this port to come to mobile since KOTOR was released on iPhone and iPad back in 2013, but it was well worth the wait.įans of the original who have yet to play this are in for a real treat. The controls are very simple and straightforward, and thus far I haven’t encountered any glitches. As is its bravery in addressing themes not really discussed before in Star Wars games, such as the true nature of the force. The pedigree of the people creating Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is unsurpassed. But it looks like this, my friends, was only the beginning. It has its flaws (the whole opening Peragus mission is pretty tedious) and the ending leaves further questions to be answered, but overall it’s superior to its predecessor in terms of character development and depth in my opinion. KOTOR, the best Star Wars story since The Empire Strikes Back and the best RPG in years, has consumed me once again. Thinking of it in terms of traditional Star Wars themes, KOTOR is like A New Hope, whereas KOTOR II provides a much more mysterious and thought-provoking story. This has a very different feel to it than the original game. Remember when we told you about KOTOR Apeiron It's the fanmade remake of KOTOR that allows you to enjoy the game still today, like you did back in its heydey. I’ve played both KOTOR games many times before, but the convenience of being able to play them both on a phone or tablet cannot be overstated.
